FIELD: electric transport; electricity.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to electric transport power supply. Electric power supply system of electrified railway vehicle at intermittent laying of contact system for railway vehicle equipped with traction motor comprises track and contact system. Contact system is made from spaced apart track circuit and an overhead contact line made with a break on separate sections of the railway track. Vehicle comprises parallel connected current collectors electrically contacting the contact line and spaced apart along the length of the vehicle and providing electric power transmission from the contact line through the traction converter to the traction motors. At the same time length of break on sections of railway track is made less than minimum distance between current collectors of vehicle. Also disclosed is a version of the power supply system, in which the vehicle contains traction batteries and a starter-charging device.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of power supply system and provision of uninterrupted power supply of vehicle.
