FIELD: special metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of special metallurgy and can be used for the production of aluminum composite alloys used as high-strength composite materials in the aviation, automotive and other industries. A method for producing a composite material based on aluminum or its alloy doped with titanium includes introducing titanium into an aluminum melt or its alloy and subsequent mechanical treatment of the melt at the melting temperature of aluminum, while titanium powder is introduced into the melt in an amount of 2-5 wt% from the weight of the melt by injection with carbon dioxide at an excess pressure of no more than 0.1 atm with a flow rate of 1–2 ndm3 ∙ min-1, and mechanical treatment is carried out by settling centrifugation at a rotation speed of 1000-2500 rpm for 10-12 minutes.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing the hardness of the aluminum-based composite material by increasing the content of the alloying component.
