FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of forming a dismantling chamber in the development of shallow coal seams, and can be used in the development of shallow coal seams by working faces equipped with mechanized complexes. The formation of the dismantling chamber is carried out until it enters the bearing pressure zone of the approaching longwall and is limited to excavation through the rocks of the immediate roof of the seam, followed by its formation and the formation of a filling mass, which is divided by formwork into monolithic blocks. The width of the excavation being laid is determined by the formula: b=x1+ x2+ x3, where x1 is the length of the supporting part of the roof support, m; x2 is the technologically required width of the dismantling track, multiple of the shearer working width r, m; x3 is the width of the leading part of the filling array, m.
EFFECT: to increase the efficiency and safety of the roof management of the dismantling chamber by preventing the loss of stability of the rocks of the immediate roof.
