FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use in manufacturing technology of rotors of ball gyroscopes. Rotor manufacturing process envisages application of thin-film coating with rotor fixing in diametrically spaced retainers installed coaxially to dynamic axis of rotor, one of which has shape of three-end plug. According to the invention, the task is solved by the fact that after application of the coating on the side of the arrangement of the three-end yoke, the height and diameter of the base of the ball segment having deviations of the shape of the surface from the sphere are determined. Further, the rotor shape is corrected by applying an additional coating layer, wherein a point source of the sputtered material is used, and the rotor is oriented with the said ball segment towards the source. Between the rotor and the source there is a screen with a hole, and during application of the additional layer, the screen is moved along the dynamic axis of the rotor, providing formation in the zone of the spherical segment of the spherical surface of the required diameter.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of spherical rotor manufacturing.
