SUBSTANCE: according to one aspect of invention, method of mechanical attachment of first object (1) containing thermoplastic material in solid state, with fastener (2) with a substantially flat sheet portion, having perforation (20), wherein sheet part has edge (21) along perforation, wherein first object is located relative to fastener so that edge is in contact with thermoplastic material, at that, mechanical vibration energy is supplied to the unit containing the first object and the fastener, until fluid part of thermoplastic material under action of heat of friction created between edge and thermoplastic material, will not become fluid and does not flow around edge so that edge is at least partially submerged into thermoplastic material. After the mechanical vibration supply is terminated, the thermoplastic material returns to the solid state, whereby the thermoplastic material returned to the solid state, in which the edge is at least partially submerged, fixes the fixture in the first object.
