SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerosol delivery devices. Aerosol delivery device comprises a cartridge equipped with a heating element and an authentication device and containing an aerosol precursor composition. Aerosol delivery device comprises a control body connected to the cartridge and configured to exchange authentication signals with an authentication device for authenticating the cartridge for use with a control housing and, in cases where the cartridge is authenticated, directing energy to the heating element for activation and evaporation of components of the aerosol precursor composition. Control housing and cartridge comprise, respectively, a two-wire electrical connector and a mating two-wire electrical connector, connected to each other, through which authentication signals are exchanged and energy is transmitted. Control case and cartridge also contain first switching circuit and second switching circuit, respectively. First switching circuit is connected to second switching circuit to form switching circuit, configured to control authentication and power signals passing through a two-wire electrical connector. Also disclosed is the aerosol delivery device control housing.
EFFECT: technical result consists in provision of two-wire system of authentication and direction of energy into aerosol delivery device.
