SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical technology and namely to an aerosol delivery device (100) and a control body (102) connected to a cartridge to form an aerosol delivery device. The aerosol delivery device has a casing, a heating element (222), and an electricity collection circuit. The casing forms a container (218) adapted to contain the aerosol precursor composition. The heating element is controlled to activate and vaporize the components of the aerosol precursor composition. The control body is connected or designed to be connected to the cartridge (104) to form an aerosol delivery device. The cartridge contains the aerosol precursor composition and is equipped with a heating element. The heating element is controlled to activate and vaporize the components of the aerosol precursor composition. The body contains a control component and a power harvesting circuit. The control component is designed to control the heating element to activate and vaporize the components of the aerosol precursor composition. The power harvesting circuit contains a battery and a resistor and is designed to receive radio-frequency energy from an external radio-frequency transmitter and collect electrical power from the radio-frequency energy to charge the battery (212). The power harvesting circuit is designed to power or charge at least one electronic component including the battery. The battery is designed to discharge current through the resistor. The resistor has variable resistance and is a potentiometer or contains it. Thus, the electric current has alternating force which provides variable power.

EFFECT: disclosed is an aerosol delivery device providing electrically generated heat for aerosol production.
