SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Casting of high-strength cast iron is performed in chill mould with rod inserts of refractory material with low heat conductivity. Parts of moulded hoes working in conditions of abrasive wear are formed in unlocked walls of the metal mould to produce bleached structures of high-strength cast iron. Parts of moulded hoes operating under conditions of cyclic loads are formed in mould core inserts to produce pearlite, martensite and bainitic structures of high-strength cast iron.
EFFECT: higher wear resistance of working edges due to production of bleached structure and improved operational characteristics due to obtaining strength and elastic properties of bearing parts.
