FIELD: medicine; orthopedic dentistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for measurement of symmetrical and asymmetric distance between alveolar ridges of toothless segments of frontal jaw. Anthropometric measuring device includes rulers. Device has two posts with vertically movable fixed rods, two movable plates connected by their ends to each other on one rod. Second end of one plate is connected to the middle of the first movable ruler. End of the other plate is connected to the middle of the second movable ruler, where on its free end there is a vertical rod extending from its two sides. At the end of first movable ruler from below is rod, which fixes on millimeter grid distance between corresponding points of alveolar ridges and apices of toothless segments of jaw outgrowths.

EFFECT: use of the invention enables providing a wider diagnostic capability of accurate measurement of the distance between alveolar ridges of toothless jaws in the inter-frame space of the articulator, rational design of artificial dentures.
