FIELD: medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device has upper and lower frame, unit for holding and returning to initial position, collet clamps for fixing jaw models. The upper frame has two incisor rods and two articulation capsules. The lower one has two articulation rods and two incisor capsules. The upper frame is mounted on the lower one so that the incisor rods find their way into the lower frame incisor capsules, and the lower frame articulation rods find their way into the upper frame articulation capsules. The device is tuned by recording individual mandible movements relative to the maxilla in intraoral way with their being transferred into rapidly hardening plastic of articulation and incisor capsules of the articulator.
EFFECT: wide range of functional applications in designing artificial dentition in complete teeth loss cases, modeling occlusion surfaces and investigating treatment tactics; high accuracy in reproducing mandible movements relative to the maxilla.
