FIELD: kilns.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a drum-type rocking kiln for making light expanded filling. The kiln consists of a lined drum mounted on roller supports with a sector cutout and an opening angle of 150-160° in the high-temperature zone, and at least one sector cutout in the cooling zone in which a manifold for supplying cooling air, burners and a drive are located. The lined kiln drum is made cone-shaped from successively installed sections, each of which is mounted from two pairs of triangles connected by lateral sides. The first pair is made of two identical isosceles triangles, and the second pair is assembled from an isosceles triangle equal to one of the two isosceles triangles of the first pair, and an equilateral triangle, the sides of which are equal to the lateral side of the isosceles triangle, and each subsequent section is rotated relative to the previous one by 120° with the formation of three broken helical lines of the main direction of a variable pitch along the drum perimeter, three broken helical lines of the same direction and a variable pitch S1, three broken helical lines of the same direction and variable pitch S2, as well as one broken helix of the opposite direction of variable pitch S3, while the pitch of all helical lines is different in length.
EFFECT: enhanced technological capabilities, reduced length of the furnace drum, increased productivity and efficiency of firing.
