SUBSTANCE: holding element (5) for a cover (4) of a piece of furniture (1), while this holding element (5) has a first fitting element (6) for attaching the holding element (5) to the body (2) of a piece of furniture (1), a second fitting element (7) for attaching the holding element (5) to the cover (4) of the piece of furniture (1), a support bracket (8), which is pivotable about the first axis (K1) of the body is connected to the first hardware element (6) and with an option of rotation of the cover around the first axis (D1) is connected to the second hardware element (7), and an adjusting bracket (9), which is rotatable about the second axis (K2) of the body is connected to the first hardware element (6) and being rotatable around the second axis (D2) of the cover is connected to the second hardware element (7), while the second hardware element (7) can be moved between an open position and a closed position relative to the first hardware element (6), and a power actuator (10) for loading the second hardware urn element (7) at least on a part of the pivot path between the open position and the closed position in the direction of the open position, while according to the invention, the second hardware element (7) has a control loop (12), the power drive (10) is supported on one side by the adjusting bracket (9), and on the other hand, by means of the pressure element (11), is supported on the adjusting contour (12) of the second hardware element (7), and in the open position of the second hardware element (7), the first connecting line (G1), which intersects the first axis (K1) of the body and the first axis (D1) of the cover at right angles, at a distance crosses or intersects the second connecting line (G2), which intersects the second axis (K2) of the body and the second axis (D2) of the cover at right angles.
EFFECT: new and efficient way of covering a furniture piece.
