FIELD: sound technology.

SUBSTANCE: claimed set of inventions relates to converting coding/decoding of sound signals, in particular harmonious sound signals. The coder (20) for coding coefficients (Y(k)) of the frequency conversion of the harmonious sound signal comprises the following elements: a determinant (22) of the location of the peak which is capable of determining the location of the spectral peaks having values exceeding a predefined frequency-dependent threshold, the coder (24) of the peak region which is capable of encoding the peak regions comprising and surrounding the detected peaks, the coder (26) of the low frequency set capable of encoding at least one low frequency set of coefficients outside the peak regions and below the transition frequency, which depends on the number of bits used to code the peak regions, the coder (28) of the noise increase coefficient capable of coding the noise increase coefficient and at least one high-frequency set of coefficients not yet coded outside the peak regions.

EFFECT: technical result of claimed set of inventions is the creation of a scheme for converting coding/decoding, which makes it possible to improve the coding/decoding of harmonious sound signals.
