FIELD: polypropylenes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a polypropylene composition, a method for its production, and the use of a polypropylene composition for the production of sterilizable products selected from packaging material and films. Described is a polypropylene composition comprising a mixture in wt% containing a heterophasic propylene copolymer (HESO) 85.0-95.0, a random copolymer of propylene and hexene 5-15, and possibly a polymer alpha-nucleating agent. Heterophasic propylene copolymer HESO includes, in wt%: (A-1) matrix (M) 83.0-90.0, which is a propylene homopolymer (G-PP) with a melt flow index (MFR2) 2.0-4, 5 g / 10 min and (A-2) elastomeric propylene-ethylene copolymer (ECP) dispersed in said matrix (M) 10.0-17.0. The heterophasic propylene copolymer has an ethylene comonomer content of the cold xylene soluble (CCA) fraction of 25.0-28.0 wt% and an intrinsic viscosity (xV) of the CCA fraction determined in accordance with DIN ISO 1628/1 in decalin at 135 °C 1, 6-2.2 dl / g.
EFFECT: polypropylene composition provides improved balance between mechanical properties, optical properties and low extractables, combined with good sterilization.
