FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a polypropylene composition (C) for the production of foamed products, it contains: a) from 68.0 to 77.0 wt.% of hetero-phase propylene copolymer (HECO) with a content of a xylene cold soluble (XCS) fraction ranging from 25.0 to 40.0 wt.% of the total weight of hetero-phase propylene copolymer (HECO) containing: i) a matrix, which is propylene polymer (PP1), and ii) elastomeric propylene copolymer (EPR) dispersed in the specified matrix, b) from 6.5 to 8.5 wt.% of propylene polymer (PP2) with higher melt flow rate MFR2 (230°C, load 2.16 kg), as defined according to ISO 1133, than that of propylene polymer (PP1), and c) from 15.0 to 25.0 wt.% of polymer fibers (PF), while polymer fibers (PF) have a melting point Tm equal to or higher than 210°C of the total weight of the polypropylene composition (C), where the specified polypropylene composition (C) is a foamable polypropylene composition, as well as to the use of polymer fibers (PF) as a modifier of impact strength for hetero-phase propylene copolymer (HECO).
EFFECT: obtaining a polypropylene composition for the production of foamed products.
