FIELD: pyrotechnics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pyrotechnics, namely to pyrotechnic signal compositions of red fire for the manufacture of signaling means, in particular signaling elements used in shot cartridges. The pyrotechnic signal composition of red fire contains, wt%: strontium nitrate 25-43, magnesium 14-31, polyvinyl chloride 8-12, potassium perchloric acid 5-8, phenol-formaldehyde resin or nitro film 4-7, potassium nitrate 6-26.2, sulfur 0.8-3.5, coal 1.2-5.3.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at obtaining a pyrotechnic composition having, in a pressed form, the reliability of ignition at a high speed when fired from the combustion products of an expelling charge of pyroxylin powder of a hunting cartridge and high values of the luminous intensity and purity of the flame color.
