SUBSTANCE: the invention relates to the field of biotechnology. A group of inventions is described that includes an anti-VEGF-A antibody conjugate, a pharmaceutical composition for treating or preventing an ophthalmic disease, a method for treating or preventing an ophthalmic disease that comprises administering an effective amount of an antibody conjugate or a pharmaceutical composition, and a method for producing an antibody conjugate. In one embodiment of the invention, the antibody conjugate includes an anti-VEGF-A antibody and a polymer containing phosphorylcholine, where the polymer has a molecular weight of approximately 300,000 to approximately 175,000 Da, and the antibody conjugate has a molecular weight of between approximately 450,000 and 1,900,000 Da.
EFFECT: the invention expands the arsenal of remedies against VEGF-A.
