FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to high-speed wireless data transmission between different printed circuit boards or between sections of one printed circuit board. The technical result is to simplify manufacturing, reduce dimensions, reduce losses at high frequencies and improve performance. A device for transmitting signals is proposed, comprising: a waveguide comprising a first conducting base and a second conducting base, located parallel to each other, and side walls located between the first conducting base and the second conducting base, containing at least one structure like an electromagnetic crystal with a forbidden zone (EBG structure); and at least two directional antennas located opposite each other along the radiation axis, each antenna is made on the basis of a printed circuit board and contains: an EBG structure located on the upper and lower layers of the printed circuit board and made to prevent back radiation, and at least one matching element; a part of each of the antennas is located inside the waveguide, so that it completely covers the area between the antennas, forming a wireless channel in this area for transmitting electromagnetic signals, and the matching element is located near the wireless channel to match the antenna with the wireless channel.
EFFECT: improved performance.
