FIELD: radio engineering
SUBSTANCE: antenna array with cells of an electromagnetic bandgap structure (EBG cells). The technical result is provided by means of an antenna array implemented on a printed circuit board and including a plurality of patch antennas, and at least one row of EBG cells is located between adjacent patch antennas, each of which includes: a structure element with an electromagnetic bandgap (EBG-element) in the form of a conductive pad (T-EBG-element) located on the outer side of the carrier layer of the printed circuit board; at least two mushroom-shaped EBG elements (M-EBG elements), each of which includes a conductive pad located on the inside of said carrier layer of the printed circuit board opposite the T-EBG element, and a base in the form of a cylinder, made by means of a plated via (VIA) and connected to the conductive pad of the M-EBG element, the second end of the VIA being connected to the conductive pad of the T-EBG element; and a ground layer located opposite the conductive pads of the M-EBG elements, separated from them by a dielectric layer.
EFFECT: expanding the scanning range and operating frequency band of the antenna array, increasing its efficiency and reducing losses.
