FIELD: measuring instruments.
SUBSTANCE: gas monitoring system includes at least one light source (1000) for emitting light in the wavelength range at which the target gas (5000) has at least one absorption line, a retroreflector (2200) with reflective means and a control unit. The retroreflector (2200) returns light to the receiving optical means. The system additionally includes a detector system with a photodetector to detect light and provide a signal that is received by a control unit adjusted to control the gas monitoring system and calculate the gas characteristics. The system includes a mirror device (2000), consisting of a central (2100) and nearby (2300) mirrors mounted at an offset angle between their optical axes (2150, 2350), which meet at the intersection point near the geometric center of the central mirror (2100) surface. The mirror device (2000) can be tilted in any direction within a triangular spatial angle around the pivot point (2050) near the intersection. The center mirror (2100) directs light from a light source (1000) onto a retroreflector (2200) for light return to a nearby mirror (2300) to reflect light onto the detector system.
EFFECT: possibility of centering by moving internal parts and monitoring more than one type of gas due to several adjustable lasers with one common optical path.
