SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical technology. The catheter pump has a drive unit and a catheter. The catheter has a pump head for introduction into the arterial vascular system, a pivotally made rotor shaft for driving an expandable pumping element provided on the pump head, and at its proximal end a mating section that is configured to be actuated for rotation around the mating axis, rotationally fixed, in connection with the rotor shaft. The drive unit has a drive and a drive section which is driven for rotary motion around the drive axis by means of the drive. The mating section and / or the drive section have magnetic elements for contactless mutual rotational engagement. The mating axis and the drive axis are spaced from each other in the transverse direction by a distance a, so that the magnetic field of the magnetic elements pushes the mating portion in a direction that runs across the mating axis.

EFFECT: technical result consists in ensuring reliable mating of the mating section with the drive section with low noise operation.
