SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for separating grain and a device for separating grain. The method of grain separation includes feeding the original grain into a vertical separation channel with an ascending air flow, separating a light impurity from the original grain and collecting separation products. The original grain, depending on its properties and the properties of light impurities, is introduced into the separation channel at different levels along the channel height. In the presence of an easily separable light impurity in the original grain, the original grain is fed in the lower part of the separation channel, and in the presence of a hardly separable light impurity in the original grain, the original grain is fed in the upper part of the separation channel.

EFFECT: improves quality and efficiency of grain separation.
