FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to intraocular lenses. Proposed is a hydrophobic intraocular lens (IOL) which comprises at least one copolymer comprising: (a) a first monomeric link containing a polymerized metacrylate group and at least one alkoxyalkoxy alkyl lateral group, (b) a second monomeric link, other than the first monomer link containing a polymerized metacrylate group, at least one lateral group comprising (i) ariloxy group containing at least one halogen, and (ii) aliphatic carbon fragment binding ariloxy group with the polymerized metacrylate group, where the aliphatic carbon fragment contains at least one hydroxyl substitute, (c) a third monomeric link other than the first and second monomeric links, comprising a polymerized metacrylate group, at least one lateral group comprising (i) ariloxy group, and (ii) aliphatic carbon fragment linking the ariloxy group to the polymerized metacrylate group, where the aliphatic carbon fragment contains at least one hydroxyl substituent, (d) a fourth monomeric link other than the first, second and third monomeric links comprising a polymerized acrylate or metacrylate group, and at least one lateral alkyl oxide group and (e) not necessarily, a fifth monomeric link other than the first, second, third and fourth monomeric links comprising a polymerized metacrylate group and at least one alkoxy alkyl lateral group, with the ratio of the first monomer link to the combined second and third monomer links of the copolymer ranging from 1.2:1 to 3.5:1 on the mass of the monomer links. A composition for producing an intraocular lens and a method for producing said composition are also proposed.

EFFECT: technical result is that the proposed hydrophobic intraocular lens has excellent characteristics related to the non-glistening, a high Abbe number and excellent mechanical properties.
