METHOD FOR RESTORING NERVOUS-MUSCULAR CONDUCTION IN TRAUMATIC SHOULDER PLEXOPATHY Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61N1/32

Abstract RU 2745242 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to neurology and can be used for restoring nervous-muscular conduction of brachial plexus fasciculus in traumatic shoulder plexopathy. When diagnosing the Dejerine-Klumpke type brachial plexus lesion, therapeutic electrical stimulation affects the peripheral parts of both damaged and undamaged neuromuscular structures, which have a common segmental-radicular innervation with the revealed damaged brachial plexus neuromuscular structures.

EFFECT: method provides for an increase in the treatment effectiveness, an increase in the rate of regeneration of the brachial plexus neuromuscular structures, an increase in the rate of neuromuscular conduction recovery with the restoration of the motor and sensory function of damaged trunks and peripheral nerves, a reduction in the treatment time, an improvement in the analgesic effect, as well as the absence of adaptive effects due to the possibility of reinnervation owing to safe fibers of peripheral nerves, allowing to activate intra- and inter-segmental connections, involvement of anastomoses resulting from therapeutic electrical stimulation of muscles innervated by relatively safe peripheral nerves fibers.
