METHOD FOR RESTORATIVE TREATMENT OF RADIAL NERVE NEUROPATHY Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61H1/02

Abstract RU 2772398 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology, orthopedics and neurology, and can be used for restorative treatment of radial nerve neuropathy. At the first stage of rehabilitation treatment, rings of expanded polystyrene with a radius of 4 cm and a height of 5 cm are fixed on the distal phalanges of fingers I-V of the hand with a damaged radial nerve to the patient; the patient’s hand is placed in a container with water so that the liquid covers the limb to the middle of the humerus. Further, in the container with water, the patient alternates active flexion and extension of the hand in the mode of 20 minutes 2 times a day, the duration of the stage is 7 days. At stage two, rings with a height of 3 cm are fixed on the distal phalanges and similar flexion and extension movements are performed. Stage two also lasts a week. Then the patient goes to stage three, where rings with a height of 1.5 cm are used, and after another week the patient goes to the final stage four with the use of rings with a height of 1 cm. If the patient cannot extend the hand at any of the stages, then he returns back to the previous stage to the rings of a greater height and trains with them until he can perform extension and flexion at a lower height of the rings.

EFFECT: method provides greater involvement of the muscles in the work with the restoration of muscle response by consistently reducing the height of the rings.
