SUBSTANCE: invention relates to imaging encoding. The encoder is comprised of: an imaging encoder configured to be employed using an encoding processor with prediction to a video imaging unit for receiving the remaining predictive signal related to the unit, a context-adaptive entropy encoder configured to conduct using the processor entropy encoding of the first symbol into the data flow with given conversion ratio related to the remaining predictive signal, using the context determined by employing an operation related to the first previously encoded conversion ratio; and a symbolizer configured to display using the processor the conversion ratio of the current conversion ratio onto the second symbol based on a symbolization parameter determined by employing an operation related to the second previously encoded conversion ratio; the encoder is configured to determine the first previously encoded conversion ratio based on relative spatial position of the current conversion ratio relative to the multiple conversion ratios.
EFFECT: reduced complexity and elevated efficiency of encoding.
