FIELD: glass industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the glass industry, in particular to a method for manufacturing foam glass gravel using charge for producing foam glass gravel and charge for producing cullet. A method for producing foam glass gravel includes the following steps: preparation of charge for producing cullet containing, wt. %: neosyl silica rock 50-85, carbonate melt 10-30 and soda ash 5-20; glass melting at a temperature of 1200-1500°C; glass production; production of cullet with a particle size of 10-150 mcm, including successive stages of crushing and fine grinding; preparation of a foam mixture from the charge for the manufacture of foam glass gravel, containing, wt. %: cullet obtained at stage d) from the charge prepared at stage a) 75-97, liquid glass 1-10, glycerin 1-5 and water 1-10; heat treatment in a conveyor furnace of foam mixture with a thickness of 1.5-10 cm applied to a conveyor belt at a temperature of 500-1000°C and conveyor belt speeds of 10-100 m/h; sharp cooling of the resulting foam glass.

EFFECT: increase in the physical and mechanical properties of foam glass gravel.
