FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is an elevator (1), which has an elevator shaft (3), and usually also an elevator car (5), a lifting platform (11) and a supporting means (9). The elevator (1) is preferably made in the form of an elevator of a hoisting and transport system, and the elevator platform (11) can be fastened in different positions within the elevator shaft (3) during various phases of building construction. There is a protective roof (21) in the elevator shaft (3). The protective roof is located above the components of the lifting platform (11) to be protected like the drive motor (15). The protective roof (21) consists of a central roof structure (23) and a peripheral side structure (25). The side structure (25) is comprised of side walls (27), which are attached to the side edges (30) of the central roof structure (23) and which are inclined towards the horizontal projecting outward from the central roof structure (23). Due to the inclined position of its side walls (27), the side structure (25) can better resist the impact of falling objects and better protect the components located under it. The cantilever edge areas (32) can under circumstances bear against the side walls (4) of the elevator shaft (3).
EFFECT: invention eliminates the risk of damage to the components of the elevator by dirt or falling objects.
