FIELD: liquid level control.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used in systems for automatic control of the liquid level, for example, water, oil products, food products transported by motor vehicles, the liquid level in downholes, wells, pools, cisterns and similar containers. A method is proposed for indicating the liquid level by means of a liquid level sensor containing floats with a magnet and reed switches, while the element of the liquid level indicator sensor contains one sealed pipe and several leaky pipes or several sealed pipes and one leaky pipe, while in each sealed pipe one or more reed switches are installed, the terminals of which are connected to a cable resistant to the effects of liquid and its vapors passing through one end or both ends of the pipe, and in each leaky pipe, a float with a magnet and float limit stops are placed, while pipes with reed switches and pipes with floats are installed vertically and parallel to each other, and the reed switch switches over when the float is moved from one limit stop to another.
EFFECT: technical result is the optimization of the sensor shape, the use of a small number of reed switches in accordance with the number of determined liquid levels, a significant simplification of its design, ensuring the manufacturability.
