SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for producing inorganic polysilazane which can be used as a precursor to create coatings from silicon oxide or nitride. Disclosed is a method for preparing a solution of inorganic polysilazane in dibutyl ether.The method includes the synthesis of polysilazane by the reaction of ammonolysis of dichlorosilane with an excess of ammonia in a mixture of pyridine with dibutyl ether to obtain polysilazane and ammonium chloride, removal of ammonium chloride by filtration followed by removal of pyridine from the filtrate carried out in a solution of pyridine in dibutyl ether with a pyridine concentration of 22-50 mol. %, and the subsequent removal of pyridine from the filtrate is carried out by distillation with the return of the distillate to the synthesis stage.

EFFECT: method is waste-free, environmentally friendly and can be used to obtain a solution of polysilazane in dibutyl ether using a simplified technology.
