FIELD: communication methods.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a communication method performed in a network node. The method contains following steps: at least one port pointer is generated in one way from a ranked attachment and an unranked attachment; the specified one port pointer is signaled in the specified one way from a ranked attachment and an unranked attachment, with the specified at least one port pointer indicating which ports in at least one reference channel state information resource (CSI-RS) should be used to measure the channel quality for the intended rank for a non-PMI CSI feedback signal. In the ranked attachment method, the specified one port pointer includes a list of port indexes, where the first port index in the list indicates a port for measuring channel status information (CSI) of rank 1, the first two port indexes in the list indicate ports for measuring CSI of rank 2, one or more of the first k (k = 1, 2,..., 8) port indexes in the list indicate one or more ports for measuring CSI of rank k. In the unranked attachment method, the specified one port pointer for rank k (k = 1, 2,..., 8) includes k port indexes for measuring CSI of rank k.
EFFECT: technical result is to provide signaling the port index for the channel state information (CSI) feedback signal without the precoder matrix indicator (PMI).
