SUBSTANCE: The group of inventions relates to medical technology, namely to an applicator (1) for applying a cosmetic product (PT) for skin or lip care and a method of carrying out a cosmetic procedure using an applicator. The applicator contains an application area containing a bunch (14; 24) of needles for applying a cosmetic for care and extending along the longitudinal axis (X). The bundle of needles contains the first set (141; 241) of needles arranged in the shape of a square in cross-section relative to the longitudinal axis. The applicator has a linear displacement device connected to the application area and made with the possibility of driving the beam (14; 24) of needles into reciprocating motion (T) along the longitudinal axis (X). The bundle of needles contains a second set (143; 243) of needles, located around the first set of needles and forming a contour (CO1; CO2) for the bundle of needles, which has a circular cross-section relative to the longitudinal axis. The needle bundle contains 88 needles distributed as 64 needles for the first set of needles and 24 needles for the second set of needles, or 132 needles distributed as 100 needles for the first set of needles and 32 needles for the second set of needles. The method includes the step of applying to the surface (S) of the skin or lips a care cosmetic (PT) present on the bundle (14; 24) of needles. During application, the needle bundle is reciprocated (T) along the longitudinal axis (X).

EFFECT: effectively performing cosmetic treatment of skin or lips, while limiting or even avoiding piercing of the treated surface.
