LOCUST KILLER Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A01M17/00

Abstract RU 2745916 C1

FIELD: agriculture; machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural machine building, in particular to machines, in which electricity is used for pest destruction. A locust killer comprises a plurality of tillers connected in parallel to the front end of the support member and a plurality of downwardly extending shanks-pins attached to the rear end of the support member. Each of said shanks-pins is aligned with one of said cultivators and has at least one electrically conductive outer surface, generator for generating electric current supplied to said shanks-pins, a transformer connected to said generator and said shank ends for conversion of electric current supplied to said shank ends. Each shank tail has a generally flat cross-section, a sharpened front edge and a sharpened lower edge. Each of shanks-pins has wedge-shaped cross-section, width of which increases from front to rear edge of each such shank. Width of every said shanks-pins is adjustable. Generator provides electricity in three phases A, B and C, provided with seven shanks-pins, electricity is supplied by phase diagram A-B-C-A-B-C-A. Each of shanks-pins usually has shape of inverted letter U, having two downwards legs. Inner part of each leg has electrically conducting surface. Rippers are arranged in the form of installed on a horizontal axis perpendicular to direction of machine motion and flat discs electrically isolated from it and from each other with electrically connected current collectors. Flat disks installed in alignment with direction of movement of one longitudinal vertical plane of symmetry of shanks-pins have 25–30 % larger diameter and 2–2.5 times larger thickness than flat discs of smaller diameter installed between them and at machine edges. Electricity is supplied to all flat disks by phase diagram A-B-C-A-B-C-A-C-A-B-C-A-B-C-A.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of locust killing with electric discharges.
