METHOD FOR QUANTITATIVE ASSESSMENT OF ACUPUNCTURE CHANNEL ACTIVITY, SYSTEM AND MODULE FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B5/349 A61H39/06

Abstract RU 2746036 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to a method for quantifying the activity of acupuncture channels (AC) based on the Akabane thermo-puncture test, as well as to a system and a module for collecting and processing data for its implementation. In this case, a pulse wave is recorded in the subject by the method of photoplethysmography. Then, synchronously with each recording, the thresholds of its temperature pain sensitivity are measured at the diagnostic points of the acupuncture channels during the Akabane thermopuncture test. From the primary pulse wave, its second acceleration derivative is formed with the extraction of standard waves a, b, c, d, e, f with the calculation of their time and amplitude characteristics and their ratios, on the basis of which the standard phase indicators of the pulse wave SDNN, DEI, TP are calculated, Etc, EEI, DDI, as well as spectral components of heart rate variability with the calculation of the spectra LF, HF, VLF and their ratios. A model of their relationship is created for a specific subject from a number of paired samples of pulse wave indices and a thermopuncture test by methods of mathematical analysis, with the creation of conversion matrices from the pulse indices to the values of AC activity. In the future, a quantitative assessment of the AC activity is made based on the results of measurements of only the pulse wave indicators. The system contains a data collection and processing module, a server and a control and communication module. The server is configured to create a model of the relationship between the obtained pulse wave indicators and the values of the temperature pain sensitivity thresholds of the AC according to the Akabane test with the creation of matrices for converting from the pulse indicators to the values of the AC activity. The data collection and processing module includes an element of thermal effect on acupuncture points (AP) in the form of an IR LED, a power supply with a start / stop switch, a controlled current generator, a microcontroller, a receiving / transmitting unit, a screen for displaying graphic information, a pulse wave sensor, current converter, amplifier, synchronous detector and bandpass filter.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of individual assessment of acupuncture channel activity based on the classic Akabane test and "pulse diagnostics" by analyzing the phase and spectral components of the pulse wave and a number of ECG parameters and obtaining individual correlation coefficients in one measurement scale, which allows using a single metric scale and rules for assessing the test data.
