SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of composite materials consisting of a polymer matrix and a filler, which acts as carbon nanotubes (CNTs). This composite material has an increased strength due to the formation of a structure of oriented carbon nanotubes in the polymer matrix using a uniform electric field. The technical result is an increase in the tensile strength due to the structure of oriented carbon nanotubes formed in the polymer matrix using a uniform constant electric field that destroys the agglomerates of carbon nanotubes.

EFFECT: technical result is achieved by the fact that the composite material contains a reinforcement, a polymer binder impregnating it, forming a matrix, carbon nanotubes oriented in the latter along the reinforcement by a uniform constant electric field, and the content of carbon nanotubes is selected in the range from 0.05 to 0.3 vol.%.
