DISCHARGE LAMP Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC H01J61/02

Abstract RU 2746131 C1

FIELD: gas-discharge tech.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates namely to low-pressure gas-discharge lamps, and can be used as a light source for fencing supports and high-voltage power lines and other high-rise structures, the presence of which in the zone of movement and maneuvering of aircraft can disrupt or worsen flight safety. The gas-discharge lamp includes a transparent housing which encloses a discharge capillary in the form of a spiral with electrodes at its ends, O-rings fixing the position of the ends of the discharge capillary and forming a volume filled with a transparent damping liquid based on glycerin, support bushings made of metal, covering the ends of the housing, on which flanges with electrode holders are fixed. The volumes between O-rings and the ends of the body are filled with an elastic compound, and the discharge capillary is filled with a mixture of neon and argon gases in the ratio (300:1)÷(400:1) and the total pressure 3≤p/d≤4, where p is the gas pressure, mm Hg, d is the inner diameter of the discharge capillary, mm. The pitch t of the spiral of the discharge capillary, mm, is chosen according to the relation 2D≤t≤3D, where D is the outer diameter of the discharge capillary, mm, while the electrodes are made in the form of hollow cylinders, and an aqueous solution of glycerol of 65 - 70% concentration is used as a damping liquid.

EFFECT: technical result is an increase in brightness and light output with low consumption of electrical energy, an increase in mechanical strength, climatic stability, durability and reliability.
