SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of communications. The method includes the steps: measuring by the terminal a plurality of reference signals; determining by the terminal of reporting information corresponding to each reference signal from the plurality of reference signals and containing a rank indicator (RI) in accordance with the measurement result; transmission by the terminal device of reporting information corresponding to each reference signal and containing RI towards the network. The method also includes: the terminal receiving the first configuration information from the network side, the first configuration information being configured to indicate: a maximum RI value in the reporting information corresponding to each reference signal; and / or the maximum value of the sum of the RI values in the reporting information corresponding to the plurality of reference signals.
