CONFIGURATION OF HYPOTHESES OF COORDINATED MULTIPOINT TRANSMISSION TO GIVE INFORMATION ABOUT CHANNEL STATE Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC H04L1/00

Abstract RU 2636101 C2

FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: system and method for providing an eNodeB flexibility in configuring a channel state information (CSI) message to match a particular hypothesis of coordinated multipoint (CoMP) transmission which is a candidate for downlink transmission to a user's equipment (UE). The UE receives a configuration message from the eNodeB which specifies the CSI channel state information message. The CSI message is set by a specific interference hypothesis and a specific hypothesis of the desired signal corresponding to data transmission by at least one efficient channel characterized by a specific reference signal. The UE estimates the interferences in accordance with the interference hypothesis and/or evaluates at least one effective channel by performing measurements on a specific reference signal and determines the CSI message based on the interference estimation and the estimated effective channel. The UE also transmits the CSI message to the eNodeB.

EFFECT: increased data transmission rate due to the transmission channel estimation.
