FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to products intended for fastening various things and materials, in particular for fastening nails, and can be used for knocking down wooden boards and other wood building materials in order to create all kinds of building structures. The nail has a head and a rod with a point at the end and is made of a strip of sheet metal. The head is formed of at least two layers of the strip, connected to each other and mounted one on top of the other in such a way that the sides of the layers interact with each other with their surfaces. The lower layer of the head is made up of two parts, the first, forming the lower layer of the head and passing into the rod, on the one hand, and the second, adjacent to the rod on the other side and being a continuation of the upper layer. The cross-section of the rod is made of the mentioned strip in the form of a V-shaped profile by deforming it along the central part in the longitudinal direction.

EFFECT: decreased metal consumption with the same overall dimensions, increased mechanical strength and stability of the tip itself, which will eliminate its deformation when installing a nail in hardwood, increased strength of the junction of the rod and the head.
