SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a two-layer tube of the tobacco processing industry made from a first and a second section of a strip of material, the first section of a strip of material having a first width and a second section of a strip of material having a second width, the first and second sections of a strip of material being wound around each other in such a way that that the first section of the strip of material has a circular or oval cross-section, and the edges defining the first width are located end-to-end, the second section of the strip of material has a circular or oval shape in cross-section, and the edges defining the second width are located end-to-end, and the second section of the strip of material is located outside around the first section of the strip of material, wherein the butt edges of the first and second portions of the material strip are offset relative to each other in the circumferential direction, and the thickness of the first and second portions of the material strip is in the range from 38 μm to 160 μm, wherein a positional adhesive is provided between the first and second portions of the strip of material in the form of a continuous or approximately continuous application of adhesive with the application thickness of 10 μm to 80 μm.

EFFECT: providing a well-defined roundness, as a result of which the quality of the manufactured two-layer tube is significantly improved.
