SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of civil and industrial construction, in particular to methods of applying waterproofing coatings for the treatment of porous surfaces, and can be used for waterproofing building structures and structures, especially in cases where increased requirements are imposed on the environmental safety of waterproofing coatings, for example, for waterproofing septic tanks and water treatment facilities of the water supply system. According to the method for obtaining a waterproofing coating, a waterproofing coating is applied to a porous surface with a brush or a sprayer containing a polymerizable alkene - terminal decene-1, and the terminal decene-1 is initiated to start polymerization immediately before application to the surface by adding 1-2 wt% of benzoyl peroxide, previously dissolved in ether, or ketone, or alkane C6-C8.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing the resistance of the protected structures to aggressive influences in combination with the environmental safety of the most protective waterproofing coating.
