SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to dermatological and cosmetic industries, namely to an extract for treatment of acne, seborrhea, rosacea and/or seborrheic dermatitis. Proposed is a Silybum marianum (L.) Gaertn achenes extract for treatment of acne, seborrhea, rosacea and/or seborrheic dermatitis, said extract comprised of less than 0.2 wt.% of silymarin relative to the weight of dry extract and obtained by a method comprising the following consecutive stages: (i) pressing of of Silybum marianum (L.) Gaertn. achenes obtaining an oil; (ii) extracting the oil obtained from the Silybum marianum (L.) Gaertn. achenes on stage (i) using an extracting solvent selected from subcritical water and C₁-C₃ alcohol optionally mixed with water, obtaining an extraction phase and a lipid phase; (iii) recovering the extraction phase obtained on stage (ii), and (iv) partially or completely drying the extraction phase obtaining a concentrated or dry extract. Pharmaceutical composition for treatment of acne, seborrhea, rosacea and/or seborrheic dermatitis comprises the extract mixed with at least one pharmaceutically acceptable excipient.

EFFECT: described extract and composition based thereon are highly efficient in treatment of acne, seborrhea, rosacea and/or seborrheic dermatitis.
