SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the processing of materials by cutting and can be used for high-speed milling. The cutting tool is rotatable and contains a cutting body and at least one indexable one-sided cutting insert, fixed with possibility of removal in the slot of the cutting body. The cutting insert has opposite upper and lower surfaces with a peripheral side surface passing between them and a central axis passing through them. The first and second clamping holes pass between the upper and lower surfaces and open on them. The first and second main cutting edges are formed at the intersection of the upper surface and the peripheral side surface. The lower surface contains the first and second annular recesses communicating with the first and second clamping holes, respectively. The first and second channels of the recess extend from the first and second clamping holes, respectively, to the peripheral side surface and are located parallel to the longitudinal first plane containing the central axis. The variants of the cutting inserts and the cutting tool are disclosed.
