FIELD: cutting tools.
SUBSTANCE: blade-shaped cutting plate (20) has opposite first and second side surfaces (22a, 22b) with peripheral surface (24) passing between them, and first cutting part (34a) having first main cutting edge (36a) passing between the first and the second side surfaces and determining the maximum width of the cutting plate. The peripheral surface contains upper surface (28) and first and second divergent beveled surfaces (26a, 26b) bisected by the first plane transverse to the specified upper surface. The cutting plate has the maximum length measured perpendicular to the first plane, which is more than sixteen times greater than the maximum width, and the maximum plate height measured parallel to the first plane, which is more than ten times greater than the maximum width. The cutting plate is fixed with the possibility of removal in a tool holder socket accepting an insert and formed by an upper clamping sponge and a lower clamping sponge.
EFFECT: fast and efficient installation of the cutting plate in the holder is achieved when processing narrow and deep grooves.
