SUBSTANCE: cutting tool comprises the indexable insert with four cutting sections to be secured at the holding section at four indexable positions by appropriate fastener. Claimed insert comprises two opposite end surfaces with peripheral side surface and central axis extending there between. Note here that said side surface has four bearing areas. Insert holder comprises holding surface and body section. Note also that the holding section comprises sidewall surface with the first, second and third active zones. The insert is divided into four imaginary quadrants about its central axis. Four bearing zones are located wholly in two of said four imaginary quadrants. Three of four bearing zones are located for every indexable position at locking contact with three active zones.
