FIELD: filter elements.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a porous filter element consisting of titanium hydride powder with the addition of carbon powder from 0.1 to 2% and silver powder from 0.1 to 10% molar fractions, as well as to a method for its manufacture. According to the method, the filter element is made as follows: titanium hydride powder is mixed with a viscosity modifier, a pore-forming substance, carbon powder and silver, then, by pressing, the resulting mixture is given preliminary strength and shape, then the resulting billet is sintered in a vacuum furnace at a temperature of 1300-1400ºC.
EFFECT: manufacture of a porous filter element.
