FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of molded ceramic membrane to be used in chemical, food, pharmaceutical and other industries. According to the method, rice husks are annealed at temperature of 300–400 °C in air, milled and fraction sized 0.1–0.2 mm is taken. Obtained powder is formed by pressing in vacuum chamber at 20.7–24.5 MPa to be consolidated under conditions of spark plasma sintering at temperature not lower than 1,800 °C.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a membrane containing silicon carbide, which gives the membrane increased indices hardness, strength, electrical conductivity and specific surface.
