FIELD: hydraulics.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to hydraulically processed nonwoven materials and an improved method for producing hydraulically processed nonwoven materials. The nonwoven multilayer material having the SMS structure is hydraulically processed according to specific processing parameters to improve softness and tactile feel. The nonwoven multilayer material can also acquire one or more regular perforation patterns through additional hydraulic processing where the initial hydraulic processing provides improved definition of the perforations. The present invention relates to an improved method of using high pressure water jets to treat and perforate melt-spun nonwoven materials.
EFFECT: invention provides a nonwoven material that combines abrasion resistance and softness.
