FIELD: ceramics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for the immobilization of strontium radionuclides in ceramics and can be used for solidification of radioactive waste, as well as for the manufacture of radioisotope products. The prepared reaction mixture of SrO and WO3 in a molar ratio of 1: 1 is placed in a conductive mold, pre-pressed and subjected to spark plasma sintering in a vacuum chamber at a constant mechanical load of 24.5 MPa under the influence of a unidirectional pulse current, which is generated by packets of 12 pulses with a duration one pulse 3.3 ms, with pauses between packets, in time equal to the duration of two pulses, with holding at the reached temperature for 5 minutes and subsequent cooling in vacuum to ambient temperature. Spark plasma sintering is carried out at a temperature of 1050-1100 ° C and a heating rate of 100 ° C / min.
EFFECT: providing a low rate of leaching of strontium from a scheelite ceramic matrix SrWO4, which has a high relative density.
