SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrified transport. A device for mechanical cleaning of ice from a contact wire contains a lift with a bit installed on it, the rotation frequency of which is regulated by a frequency generator. When the bit acts on the contact wire, it vibrates, as a result of which the ice is removed from the contact wire.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at ensuring high-quality cleaning of the contact wire from ice.
